Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LoreBox (the "App") and lorebox.co.uk (the "Website"), operated by Printfinity & Beyond Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England & Wales (Company No. 15225935, VAT No. GB453490291).

By downloading, installing, or using LoreBox, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Service

LoreBox is a digital tool that allows Game Masters to deliver handout files (images, documents, and other media) to players during tabletop roleplaying game sessions. The App is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use LoreBox to:

  • Upload or share content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights
  • Upload or share content that is sexually explicit or involves minors
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Distribute malware, spam, or unsolicited communications
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the App
  • Use the service for any commercial purpose not expressly permitted by us

4. Content Moderation

LoreBox operates a user-driven moderation system. Any user who receives a handout may report it for violating these Terms. Reported content is reviewed by LoreBox staff and/or appointed moderators, who may take the following actions:

  • Dismiss — no violation found; removed from queue
  • Remove — content removed from the platform
  • Remove & Warn — content removed and account warned
  • Remove & Suspend — content removed and account temporarily suspended

Accounts with repeated violations may be permanently banned. All moderation decisions are logged. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and deliver that content to your campaign players on your behalf, and to review it if reported under our moderation system. We do not claim ownership of your content.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and share any content, including maps, artwork, and documents.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

LoreBox offers four tiers:

  • Scribe — free, no credit card required
  • Archivist — £3.99/month or £43.08/year
  • Chronicler — £6.99/month or £75.48/year
  • Loremaster — £9.99/month or £107.88/year

All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable.

Cancellation: Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Annual subscriptions can be cancelled within 14 days for a full refund. After 14 days, the annual period is non-refundable but access continues until expiry.

Consumer Rights Act 2015: By subscribing and confirming that you want the service to begin immediately, you acknowledge that your 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 applies only until the service begins. If you choose to exercise this right before the service starts, you will receive a full refund.

7. Storage Add-ons and One-Time Purchases

Additional storage and premium themes are available to purchase separately. Storage add-ons are monthly recurring subscriptions that can be cancelled at any time. Premium themes are one-time purchases tied permanently to your account.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in the LoreBox App and Website (excluding user content) belongs to Printfinity & Beyond Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of LoreBox, including loss of data or service interruptions.

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or our content moderation policies. You may delete your account at any time from within the App. On deletion, your personal data is removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
